Welcome to the Pre-School Room

Your child will love Adventure Academy Pre-School and Child Development Center's pre-school room. We offer circle time and hands-on learning centers, sensory tables, and computers! Your child will begin to understand things instead of simply learning about them.

Circle Time

Each day begins with circle time where your child will develop language through singing, reading, and learning rhymes. Math and science skills begin here as well, as we count the days of the month and study temperature and the different seasons. Your child will learn that listening skills and manners are necessary for large group participation.

Art

Daily art projects incorporate a weekly theme and use a large variety of mediums and materials. Your child will begin to understand the science of color and the effects of mixing different colors. Your child will be free to use his/her imagination to create works of art and develop personal expression.

Sensory Tables

Your child will love sifting, pouring, mixing, and measuring at our sensory table. Your child will also learn the basic chemistry of different substances and the mathematics of quantity and volume.

Computer Center

The popular computer center offers various games and learning activities. Our desks, chairs, keyboards, and the mouse are all child-sized. Your child will develop hand-eye coordination, language, math skills, and develop a sense of logic. Your child will also learn sharing and cooperation skills when working with a partner.

Library

We have an extensive library that includes everything from basic picture books for infants to full text reading books for our older children. We also have an audio library where your child can listen to books on tape through on a headphone.

Whether reading on their own, being read to in a group, or listening to a story on tape, your child will begin to explore, learn and understand the language necessary for communication.

Our preschool is a structured yet flexible program. Your child will learn to follow directions and feel comfortable having a daily routine. There is always a chance to relax, have fun, and exhaust a little energy during free play and outdoor play.
